MLJA READS THE MOST in the UK!

Last term the pupils at Manor Leas Junior Academy participated in a national competition against other Accelerated Reader schools to find out 'Who Reads the Most?' in the UK.

 

For an entire week our reading habits were tracked and monitored, with Manor Leas Junior Academy reading an incredible total of 3,052 books in just one week! That is over 9 books per pupil! Wow!

 

We were the Grand Prize Winners, topping the leader board against the other schools competing, including Secondary schools! We received book packs from publishers for our school library and other prizes for our pupils. 

 

Reading is a part of our culture at Manor Leas Junior Academy and we are so proud of the amazing learning attitudes of all our pupils! Well done Team Manor Leas!
