Here at Manor Leas Junior Academy we have a curriculum, which engages, inspires and challenges pupils- equipping them with knowledge, skills and empathy. The art curriculum particularly allows children to experiment, invent and create their own art, craft and design. Through progression, children will be able to think critically and develop a more rigorous understanding of art and design. This term, Manor Leas will be exploring a local architect to reflect why he is important to our local history and how he contributed to creativity in Lincoln. They will be producing creative work, becoming proficient in many artistic skills. Selected pieces of work will also be displayed at the Sam Scorer Art Gallery in Lincoln for three days. The Learning Environments and the Arts ministry will be organising this event and parents will be able to visit the exhibition and even purchase the art! This amazing opportunity will be taking place on 10th-12th January. An exciting year for the Arts!
